Belton Student Becomes Finalist in National Geographic Photo Contest
Central Texas is rooting for Belton ISD student Adrianna Schlaefer!
This Belton High School student has been named a finalist in the National Geographic Student Expedition Photography Contest.
Adrianna told KXXV "I entered five of my pictures from that trip into the contest and a couple weeks ago I got an email from the director and she said that it had been selected as a finalist." The photo that is getting so much attention was one that Schlaefer took during a family trip to Canada.
Her photo is one of 28 pictures to be named a "People's Choice" finalist out of 5000 entries. The winner gets a spot on the National Geographic Student Expeditions photography trip to a destination of their choice. Options include Tanzania, Prague, and Tokyo. Want to help her win? You can!
