According to KWTX, the body of a missing elderly woman was found in Waco on Thursday afternoon.

Family members of Norfus canvassed North Waco by knocking on doors and passing out flyers in search of any information that could lead to Lelia's whereabouts.

A homeless man stumbled upon Lelia's body in a ditch on Thursday afternoon between Franklin Avenue and a Waco creek.

Lelia was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and used a walker for assistance. It is currently unknown how Lelia was able to travel over two miles away from her home.

While Police do not suspect foul play, the investigation is on-going and an autopsy is underway.
