Central Texas Food Bank Sets June Food Drive-Through
Central Texas Food Bank is doing a June drive-through in Temple and Waco. They will give out free food to help those in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our friends at KXXV-TV have details about the location and times here.
Food items that are passed out by the volunteers will vary during the special drive-through food drive. These items will contain assorted produce, milk, and a protein box of chicken or pork products.
Guidelines will be in place to make sure everyone is following social distancing. You can only drive up to pick up food items. Walk ups will not be allowed. Also volunteers ask that you clear out the trunk of your car before you arrive so items can easily be placed there.
The Central Texas Food Bank is asking those who attend the event to do so only if you are in serious need of items.
This is great way to help those in need here in Central Texas. If you would like to volunteer or donate food please contact the Central Texas Food Bank.
Reminder: There's a blood drive happening at the Olin E. Teague Veterans Medical Center located at 1902 Veterans Memorial Drive in Temple on June 3rd. It's a great opportunity to help save lives here in Central Texas.
