The Liquid Neon Tour will be on hiatus until Chris Young gets his voice back. The singer has been put on vocal rest, forcing him to reschedule upcoming shows in Huntsville, Ala., Savannah, Ga. and Chattanooga, Tenn.

According to a statement on the singer's Facebook page, tickets for the Dec. 6, 7 and 8 shows will be honored at the new dates, or refunds will be made.

“I hate to disappoint everybody but my voice is pretty ragged out,” Young wrote to fans. "Thanks for understanding and I look forward to seeing y’all next year.”

Thomas Rhett and Joanna Smith are the opening acts on the Liquid Neon Tour. After the postponements, the 'I Can Take It From There' singer has only two remaining 2012 dates on his calendar, a Dec. 11 show in Las Vegas and a Dec. 12 in Houston, Texas. The statement at his website says that he'll resume a heavy touring schedule in 2013, as well as begin recording songs for a new album.

On Monday night (Dec. 3), Young attended the CMT Artist of the Year taping in Nashville. He's listed as a participant, but it's not clear if he performs, presents, or something else. The show airs on CMT this Saturday (Dec. 8) at 10PM ET.
