has given the all clear on the boil notice issued 6/29. We received a phone call from Michael with Dog Ridge Water supply saying that the all clear had been given for residents to consume water without boiling.

Dog Ridge Water Supply Company in Belton has issued a boil water notice for all of its customers beginning immediately on Wednesday, June 29.

A representative of the company called our studio line at 1:41 PM to inform us of the order before forwarding the following:

Due to failure to maintain residuals in distribution system, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required our water system Dog Ridge WSC 0140044 to notify customers of the need to boil their water prior to consumption.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Dog Ridge WSC at 254-939-6533 or Matt Perrine at 254-654-0642

According to the TCEQ's website, public water systems in Texas are required to maintain minimum disinfectant levels in order to protect public health throughout their distribution systems.

Again, this notice is for ALL customers of Dog Ridge Water Supply.
