Facebook has been accused of showing a bias towards the liberal content and possibly putting a muzzle on more right leaning posts from its users. Mark Zuckerberg has announced a bold, yet not surprising, move to try and alleviate concerns over the supposed partiality. The content moderation team is relocating from California to Texas.

Texans are known for their straight talk and for leaning predominantly right in the political sphere of things. In fact, I was told quite often not to bring my Los Angeles politics with me when I moved here back in 2021. I thought this was funny since I was running out of California as quickly as possible without looking in the rear-view mirror once. It seems that Zuckerberg is hoping his content moderation team at Meta can do the same thing and take a more balanced approach to their responsibilities.

There is a bonus opportunity that comes along with a Meta move to the Lone Star state. Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg engaged in some fun banter back on forth on X back in 2023. The two were going back and forth with dates and locations that never materialized. At one point Elon Musk even said that he would be willing to have the cage match occur at any place, any time, and under any rules. Unfortunately, the world never got the opportunity to watch two Billionaires fight it out in the octagon.

Maybe Zuck will end up coming to Texas since Meta's content moderation team moving here. That could potentially lead to the wonderous opportunity for two of the richest men in world to engage in fisticuffs.

Meta's move to Texas will bring some great things to Texas regardless of whether the two tech billionaires duke it out. More jobs and more money will be brought into Texas with the Meta move, and hopefully a more balanced moderation of the content posted will come with it, as well.
