FEMA Hiring Texans to Help Rebuild Their Communities
FEMA has partnered with the Texas Workforce Commission to hire Texans to assist in recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
If you live near an area affected by Harvey, FEMA would like to talk to you about becoming a temporary recovery team employee.
Jobs paying between $14-$34/hr include civil engineers, communication specialists, couriers, graphics specialists, nurses, and crisis counselors. Applications are available HERE.
FEMA says the local hires give them valuable community insight by hiring people close to the recovery areas. If you'd like to apply, you must first register with the Texas Workforce Commission website and then fill out the application.
