First Day of Spring, Means Free Ice Cream at DQ!

A newsletter post from hip2save.com has brought attention to an annual tradition that gets the spring season going the right way.

Fast food chain Dairy Queen is kicking off the first day of spring with their annual free cone day.

On Wednesday, March 20th, you can head into your local Dairy Queen and ask for your free small vanilla cone.

There is no purchase necessary, but a donation for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is encouraged.

There's a limit of one per person at each participating location, and the Free Cone Day is primarily held as a fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. We happen to have one such hospital right here in Temple: Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center. It's good to know that those donations will go toward helping sick and injured kids right here in Central Texas. And hey, you get a cool treat out of it too! Win-win.
