To not have a loved one at your graduation, whether high school or college, is something that's become a reality in the past decade thanks to deployments for parents and children alike.  Fortunately, some are able to make it home just in time.

I admit it.  I'm a sucker for surprise homecoming videos featuring America's best, our US military service members.  I can't help it.  It depresses the hell out of me to see families torn apart so that one family member can risk their life on the other side of the globe because some people just can't get along.

On the opposite end of that spectrum soldier homecoming videos make me so incredibly happy that I sometimes find a warm liquid leaking from one, or both, my eyes.  Must be allergies.  Get the Claritin ready, because I've got two videos that are going to make you leak with joy from the eye socket.

I can't imagine someone missing me so much that they'd have that kind of reaction.  Then again, I don't think I've ever done anything as worthwhile, time-consuming and dangerous, so it's only fair.
