Houston Residents Turn to Aquadam to Save Homes From Harvey Flooding
The folks at Aquadam are getting a lot of praise these days as several Houston residents invested in a product that has been holding back the flooding brought on by Hurricane Harvey
It's basically using water to combat more water. While the cost of an Aquadam that surrounds your home is nothing to sneeze at, imagine the cost of repairing your home after it's been sitting in flood water for a week.
KPRC in Houston spoke with Rosenberg, Texas resident Randy Socha who said the water-filled cofferdam cost them about $18,000. He decided that was a bargain compared to the $150,000 worth of flood damage reported by other residents after Harvey.
Bloomberg reports that Aquadam was able to send $1.2 Million dollars worth of portable tubing to protect I-10 in Houston so that it would be safe to drive on. Pretty amazing!
