If You Ever Shopped Belton’s Walmart You Probably Met Mr. Nick
It's the little things like friendly neighbors and smiling faces that make Central Texas a great place to work and play. When someone who made Bell County a better place passes away, it's amazing to see the way local residents express their appreciation for the good people in the world.
Mr. Nick was one of these types of individuals. The heartfelt Facebook post above by Christina Renee says it all.
Nicholas Diaz "Nick" Lopez Jr of Belton passed away Wednesday, March 22, at the age of 89. According to Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton, services for Mr. Nick will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton. Burial will be held at North Belton Cemetery.

US 105 would like to thank Head Funeral Director John Burgess at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home and Mr Nick's family for giving us permission to use the memorial photo of Nick Lopez on their site, as well as excerpts from their obituary. While it saddens us to report Mr. Lopez's passing, it's an honor to share the tremendous positive influence he had on the people of Central Texas.
