The Spookiest House in This Historic Neighborhood in Amarillo Is For Sale
Driving home from work the other day, I was headed down Tyler street and almost to the I-40 underpass when something caught my eye.
It was a for sale sign in front of a house that had earned a special, spooky place in my heart over the past few years. Well, boo.... I thought to myself. Such a bummer
See, this house is the spookiest home in the Amarillo College area. Every year, around mid-September, the homeowners would put up their chilling display of Halloween decorations.
Skeletons, headstones, you name it. And every year, they outdid themselves. Last Halloween saw the addition of a gigantic 12-foot-skeleton that had myself and my son squealing in delight (I'm sure their neighbors hated them, but who cares?!)
You can check out the photos of last year's display HERE and the year before HERE
As sad as I am to see the masterminds behind my neighborhood's 12-foot-skeleton go, I do need to take a moment to showcase the house that is now on the market!
It's a Beautiful Historic Home in the Amarillo College Area
Seriously, I looked up the listing for 1908 S. Tyler St. and was not disappointed.
Built in 1926, it's a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom showcase of elegance and hardwood floors. There's two living rooms, a separate office, a formal dining room and breakfast nook, and so much more.
There's even two studio apartments on the lot that would be perfect to rent out (or store your own 12-ft Skeletons in....hint, hint).
It's listed for $324,900 through Brennan Coldiron w/ Intense Real Estate and definitely will not be on the market for long. Just take a look for yourself to see how spine-tinglingly perfect this home is!
