According to KWTX the Belton police department is looking for answers and searching for an individual who could be responsible for abandoning eight small puppies in a trashcan Monday night.

On Monday, February 12, the Belton Police Department, received a call about a litter of kittens that happened to be thrown in a trashcan at Heritage Park. To the Belton police's surprise, it was eight puppies that were in the trashcan and brought to them back to the police department to receive the proper care. Seven of eight of the puppies survived and are now in foster care until they are adopted.

Anybody who knows me knows me knows that the story hits home because I love animals probably more than I love actual people and I find this to be so cruel. The Belton Police Department says if anybody has any information about the abandonment of the puppies to please call the Belton police at 254-933-5840.
