
Tired of Junk? Killeen’s Major Cleanup Event Is Back to Help Residents
On April 11, the City of Killeen will host its annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, according to KCENT. The event allows residents to safely dispose of household materials that could be hazardous.

What Time And What Place?
The free collection will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center, located at 3301 S. W.S. Young Drive.
Free Junk Removal in Killeen: What to Know
Residents should note that certain items will not be accepted, including fire alarms, smoke detectors, tires, explosives, brush, trailers, and pressurized containers. However, items such as herbicides, household cleaners, antifreeze, used oil, fluorescent bulbs and tubes, batteries, petroleum products, chemicals, and acids will be accepted.
Killeen Waste Event: Get Rid of Your Junk
The city stated that 476 residents from three counties participated in last year’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. Officials say they hope to collect even more waste this year to help keep the community clean.
