Merry Christmas to Guy Fieri and Sammy Hagar - Over $1 meeeeeeellion bucks worth of their tequila was highjacked last month in Texas but half of it just turned up in Cally.

Celebrity chef Guy Fieri, host of Diners, Drive In's & Dives and the red rocker himself, Sammy Hagar, teamed up to launch their own tequila line, Santo Spirits Tequila.

They got off to a helluva start but a highjacking in Texas put them in a bad way. Thousands of cases went missing as they entered their busiest season of the year, prompting Fieri to put up a $10K reward.

Santo Spirits Tequila offers several different types of tequila and each one takes a while to properly age. (One takes about 4 years.) Needless to say, as "party and gift giving season" is upon us, they can't just whip up another batch.

As the tequila entered the USA from Mexico at an entry port in Laredo, Texas; both truckloads vanished.

The two trucks were bound for Santo Tequila’s Pennsylvania distribution center but went missing sometime after they crossed the border from Mexico into Laredo, Texas, on Nov. 9, the company’s President and CEO Dan Butkus said in an interview with The Press Democrat last month.

At the time, Butkus said the trucks were illegally double brokered, meaning a trucking company bid on the delivery job but resold the bid to another company instead of delivering the load itself. That second company seems to be the criminal organization that took the goods, Butkus said. - pressdemocrat.com

Bottles of Santo Spirits "Extra Anejo" ... a new addition to their lineup and the one that takes about 4 years, (39 months), to age ... were among the found shipment. Great news but whether or not it can now be sold remains in question. Cross your fingers tequila lovers!
