A Quiet Dead End Dirt Road Is the Most Haunted in Michigan
Some Michigan roads seem haunted because potholes can appear from one day to the next, almost like ghosts, but one dirt road is said to be haunted.
Michigan is pretty well known for some of its most haunted locations like the Doherty Hotel in Clare, the Terrace Inn in Petoskey, the Whitney Restaurant in Detroit, the Seul Choix Point Light House in Gulliver, Jackson State Prison, and Fort Holmes, Back Trails, Cemeteries, at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island. Those are just the tip of the iceberg of the paranormal in the Great Lakes state.
I spend a lot of time outdoors in Michigan, and I occasionally stumble upon a trail or something in the woods that looks eerie, but I think that is because of all the horror movies I've watched. I have heard the tale of a Michigan road that is haunted.
Where is the Haunted Road in Michigan?
Seven Gables Road is located near Dansville in Ingham County. While most people who live in the area think it's just another road, those who live close by say there's something not right about that road.
The story is about a witch who once owned the property and is said to have cursed the land around it to the point no one would come down the road and if they did step on the property they would be tormented.
The next person to own the property that lived in the house that was once there is said to have set it on fire killing himself and his family.
Others say they've heard screams, whispers, and weird lights flashing at night. Some kids said they saw a woman hanging from a tree and vowed to never return.
People who specialize in the paranormal have visited the property and debunked a lot of the myths of the witch, the house burning, the woman hanging, and some of the sounds, but still, those same people say there are some weird things that are going on the property that is on Seven Gables Road. If you decide to visit, good luck.
