Johnny Depp Takes the Stage to Play Lead Guitar for Willie Nelson [Watch]
Johnny Depp isn't just an incredibly talented actor -- he also has film producer and musician on his resume. Depp's been a guitar player since childhood and has performed with several notable musicians, but playing lead guitar for Willie Nelson may be the coolest.
South by Southwest has just kicked off in Austin, Texas and a lot of big stars are slated to appear and perform during the 10-day music and film extravaganza. Rodeo Austin -- which is running concurrently -- is a small portion of what the city has to offer during these early March weeks, but it becomes quite a special part when you combine Nelson and Depp onstage together.
KVUE, an ABC news affiliate in Austin, posted the news when they saw the two perform together during the family affair. Apparently, there was another member or the Nelson family on stage, too!
"Lukas Nelson was there, as was Johnny Depp," web producer Jordan wrote on Facebook. "Johnny was incognito and introduced as 'John.' They were all great!"
Incognito 'John' joined Nelson on stage in his signature fedora, a button-down and a vest. Depp tapped his toes along while he played lead on Nelson's 'On the Road Again,' one of the legend's most famous and recognized songs. The actor appeared comfortable onstage alongside the country icon, who sported his signature braids.
