Joking Airline Passenger Causes Ebola Scare
In scary times, it's always good to keep a sense of humor and be able to laugh in the face of an uncertain future. That said, it may be too soon to start joking about Ebola on airplanes, especially when you have the sniffles.
YouTube user Patrick Narvaez uploaded the video below on Thursday after his flight from Philadelphia to the Dominican Republic was boarded by a Dominican hazmat crew upon landing. The crew was called after a passenger sneezed, then joked that he'd just come from Africa.
As officials approached the man's seat, he reportedly said, "I ain't from Africa. S--t!"
Fellow passengers were not amused, and booed and jeered as the man was escorted off the plane.
What do you think? Is it too soon, or did officials overreact?
