Next week two Texas pals will head on on their Hanging Around Tour. Between Sunday December 3rd in Waco, and wrapping Thursday December 7th in New Braunfels you'll have four chances to catch William Clark Green and Josh Abbott together in concert.

Following Green’s Misunderstood, an album that galvanized Green’s core fan base, Rose Queen became a true breakout project for the East Texas native in 2013

With it Green got his first taste of radio success (“It’s About Time” Top 10, “She Likes The Beatles” No. 1, “Rose Queen” No. 4, and “Hanging Around” No. 1), not to mention one of the coolest album covers of the year. In addition Green earned high praise from the Dallas Observer, the newspaper that named “She Likes the Beatles” the best song in Texas that year.

The monster that is Green’s third studio album Ringling Road was unleashed in April of '15. That album has a No. 1 single in “Sympathy,” a Top 5 with “Sticks and Stones."

Oh, yeah, and in 2016 Rolling Stone included the album on its list of “Top 35 Country Albums of 2015 That You Probably Didn’t Hear.”

Since then Green has released a live album, Live at Gruene Hall, and is set to give us new music in 2018.

Josh Abbott Band are Kings in Texas Music. With two critically acclaimed albums (Front Row Seat, Until My Voice Goes Out), and several of the most successful regional albums and EPs the Texas scene has ever seen, the Lubbock-based band has carved out a special spot for themselves Country Music.

Even if JAB never reaches the "mainstream success" some think is important, we're pretty sure they sleep well at night knowing their impact is here to stay.

And this December you can catch both Texas acts together on one stage.
