Killeen Police Made Sizable Seizure of Drugs, Weapons, And Cash
Somebody's party is getting cancelled. Earlier this week in Killeen, Texas the police made two separate busts involving drugs, weapons and cash.
Both of the incidents were initiated with a traffic stop. Drug traffickers should really start investing in self-driving cars. It seems that almost every major drug bust is because of a vehicle violation. Pro-tip: Do a walk around your vehicle to make sure all of your lights are working if you're moving drugs with your car, and make sure that your registration is up to date.
The total amount of the cash seized in one of the stops was approximately $8,000. The suspects had a Glock with an illegal Glock Switch. The Glock Switch is a toggle device attached to the slide of the gun that will allow it to essentially shoot as a fully automatic pistol according to Wikipedia. They also had a 50-round drum in their possession and just over an ounce of marijuana.
Another traffic stop resulted in two guns being seized. One of the weapons had been stolen in Temple, TX. During this stop the police recovered over one and a half pounds of marijuana. The marijuana was the big get during this bust, since one and a half pounds of marijuana is valued at around $3,000 to $4,000. Over 4 oz. of marijuana is a felony with an incarceration period of up to two year. They could have avoided an additional felony charge if they just used four separate vehicles. That would have been a much better strategy even though gas prices are pretty high right now.
