Killeen ISD Police are investigating after a man was found intruding inside the school on Thursday afternoon according to our news partners KWTX News 10.

The intruder fled when approached by school officials and was later arrested by KISD police outside the building. Its unknown why the man was on campus.

In a letter to parents, Principal David Dominquez stated, "(individual) was determined to be neither a student nor a legitimate visitor, but rather, an intruder." - KWTX News 10

The man's age and identity have not been released. KISD and Ellison High officials are asking any students who may have encountered the intruder to report the information to the assistant principals' office.

While its a good thing no one was hurt, this could have been a much more dangerous situation and we applaud the quick action of Ellison High School administrators and KISD Police in resolving this issue and keeping our kids safe.
