Flu season has been pretty disruptive to Killeen ISD students and staff over the last several weeks. 146 cases of the flu have been reported throughout Killeen ISD since December 1st.

The School system recently sent out some suggestions to help slow down the spread of the illness, and that list was picked up by the Killeen Daily Herald.

These precautions include frequently washing hands, and the use of hand sanitizer. Students and teachers are being asked to cough or sneeze into elbows sleeves or into tissue.

Parents are asked to keep their students home if they have flu symptoms until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours.

KDH reports Killeen ISD had 124 students out last week alone with the flu.
