So far, transitioning to life in Killeen, Texas has gone as smooth as it could've gone. Eventually I'll fully be moved in. But while I get everything ready, we have something else to focus on.

Mainly, one of the most important things I need to know about. I'm of course talking about food.

I've seen pictures of food in Texas, and yes it looks so good. Like, I just want to order the food I see looking at a menu after I've already eaten. It's a bad habit, but I digress.

Now, my coworkers here at the radio station have taken me to some fantastic places so far, but for me to grow into living here, I have to know where to get some of the best food.

For example, I'm Italian by heritage. So if anybody knows where to get some fantastic pasta, I would fully appreciate it. Specifically, fettuccine alfredo or lasagna are my absolute favorites.

Or if you know a fantastic BBQ restaurant, I'd appreciate some recommendations because, well, come on - we live in Texas. BBQ is ultimately very important to the image of the state. If you know a place that needs attention, sharing it would be wonderful.

Obviously, Mexican food is also something that everyone enjoys as well. I've noticed many a Mexican restaurant while exploring around my new home, and I would love to know which are a cut above the others.

All of this is to say that I'm basically hungry every day of the week, and variety is the spice of life as they say. So it's time to broaden the horizons of eating!

Can you recommend your favorite restaurant in Central Texas? Where should I bet eating, and what makes it special? Let me know in the little survey below, or you can tap the Chat button on our free app and slide into my DMs.

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
