McDonalds Thanks Teachers With Free Breakfast This Week
Teachers are being appreciated this week with free breakfast at McDonald's.
It was last April when McDonalds showed some appreciation for our first responders and healthcare workers by offering them free "Thank You Meals." They would serve about 12 million of those "Thank You Meals" across the country. Now it's time to show our educators the same love.
Now through Friday, October 15, educators across the country can take advantage of free breakfast at McDonalds. To take advantage of the free teacher "Thank You" meal, just show a valid work I.D. as a walk-in customer or through the drive-thru.
There is a limit of one-per-customer but you'll get a choice of Egg McMuffin, a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit, or a Sausage Biscuit paired with a hash brown and served in a Happy Meal box along with your choice of drink like a medium hot or iced coffee or soft drink.
Some menu options may vary, but I think they're all pretty standard here in Central Texas. Keep in mind that most McDonalds breakfast hours stop at 10:30am.
McDonald's vice president of marketing, brand content and engagement, Jennifer “JJ” Healan, tells USA TODAY that the idea was inspired by Teacher Appreciation campaigns from other restaurants and follows the "Thank You" meals they did for first responders in April saying, "We wanted to build on that idea and thank our educators in our communities for all that they've been doing and what they do really every day, it truly is just a gesture for us to say 'thank you.'"
You are also encouraged to show appreciation through social media with #ThankYouMeal on Twitter, TikTok, or Instagram through October 15. McDonald's will highlight some of those messages and deliver breakfast to select teachers' schools.
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so this is a chance for the people working so hard to do right by our kids to fuel up!
