Meet Our Week 2 and 3 James Avery Christmas Memory Winners

When we asked Central Texans to share their favorite holiday memories, our inbox was flooded with photos of family and friends full of Christmas spirit.

This is the time of year when we celebrate love, togetherness, laughter, and giving, and vow to do our best to keep that spirit alive all year.

It can be tough as we head out of the Christmas season and back to the average day-to-day, but as long as we keep these memories and the spirit in which they were made in our hearts, we can make every day feel like Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who's shared these wonderful memories with us so far. We wish we could give you all a special gift, but we must choose a winner for each week no matter how tough. And it always is tough, because we receive so many awesome photos of precious Christmas memories. Our Week 3 and 4 winners will be receiving a $50 dollar gift card good at James Avery Jewelers.

Our Week 3 winning photo comes to us from Wilma Thorne of Killeen. This picture had us feeling so overwhelmingly nostalgic for days of Christmas past and warmed our hearts.

Wilma had this to say:

"Grandma always had a Christmas tree decorated with dolls. Some were homemade and some purchased. It was always fun to help her make the dolls, decorate the tree and see the new dolls. Seeing this picture from 1990 makes me miss Grandma and miss Christmas at her house."

Now, on to our Week 4 winning memory.

This one comes to us from Tricia Gray in Rockdale, who had this to say:

"We lost my littlest brother this year, the little boy in the red. We recently went through lots of older pictures and this one just made me smile. I miss my baby brother. We are experiencing our first holidays without him."

We were so sorry to hear of Tricia's brother passing, but glad she found a childhood picture that reminded her of their Christmas mornings together and keeps his memory very much alive.
