A Central Texas Food Blogger’s Road Trip Takes a Heartbreaking Turn
On Friday morning, food blogger Taylor Hannan was gearing up to take a road trip with his dog Noodles. He placed the terrier mix in the back seat of his red 2020 Honda Civic, ran back inside to grab the rest of the items he needed, and in less than a few minutes someone jumped in the car and drove away with Noodles still in the car.
Car located but No dog.
Having interviewed with KCENTV Hannan said, “Somebody was getting into my car and drove off.” The car was found the next day , about 20 miles down the road off State Highway 71. Sadly, Noodles was nowhere to be found. In addition to Noodles missing, the car was stripped of all electronics, and everything was tossed and disheveled. What mattered most to Hannan was gone, his best friend!
A Strong Bond Broken Unexpectedly.
Hannan has had noodles by his side for 8 years and had originally found him on Craigslist. While speaking to KCENTV, Hannan went on to share "just a good friend" and shared, "he likes to be just around me, so I feel pretty bad he's not around me."
Volunteer's Step Up
In an effort to get Noodles back, Hannan organized a search party around St. Elmo Elementary, and once volunteers arrived they spread out into areas of South and East Austin looking in parks, neighborhoods, and contacting shelters. Although the days go by, Hannan is hoping with every day that goes by he will see Noodles again.
Where Can You Help?
If you believe you have seen Noodles, or you have a dog that matches Noodles description, please call TRAPRS, Trapping, Rescue, and Pet Recovery Service, at 844-287-2777.
April Peiffer with the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter encouraged pet owners to not only utilize Petco Love Lost which is a free tool for matching images to help get pets home, but she also encouraged pet owners to ensure their microchip information is always updated which tends to help diagnosis dogs and owners getting together.
