Missing Texas Teen Accused of Pouring Gas on Couple and Setting Them Aflame
UPDATE: Montgomery County Jail records indicate Emma Presler was arrested Thursday, August 26.
According to her jail roster listing, Presler is charged with first degree murder, bail jumping/failure to appear, credit card abuse, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
KTRK-TV reports she was arrested in Waller County, just northwest of Houston.
A missing Texas teenager is accused of a heinous crime, and police are hoping the public can help them find her.
The Accused
Houston police are searching for 19-year-old Emma Presler, who's been on the run since Friday, August 6.
What Happened?
According to investigators, Presler entered a home in Kingwoood on August 6 and poured a flammable substance on a couple, then lit him them on fire before fleeing the scene.
The victims were identified as, 26. Graham later died as a result of his burns.
Graham leaves behind three children. Lindros remains hospitalized.
Why?
Lindros' aunt told KTRK-TV that Presler knew her niece, but police have not released a possible motive for the attack.
Not Her First Time Under Suspicion
KTRK further reports that Presler was suspected of being the getaway driver in a case involving the murder of a 20-year-old woman with cerebral palsy in 2020, but a judge determined that there was not enough probable cause to charge her.
