After watching the Golden Globes on Sunday night, I realized that there are several movies that I want to see before the Academy Awards air on February 28.

The nominations haven't even been announced yet, that happens this Thursday, but I've already got my plan outlined. Here's my shortlist of films to see, before the on ABC.

This is the film that tells the story of the investigative journalists who exposed child molestation in the Catholic Church. Currently in theaters.

Aaron Sorkin scored a Golden Globe for screen writing on this film, and Kate Winslet took home the prize for Best Actress. Yes, it's another film about the Apple founder and his life. This film was only in theaters for two weeks, and will not release to DVD and Blu-Ray until February 16, just two weeks before the Oscars air. Available on DVD on Feb. 16.

The film about the doctor who set the NFL on edge. He made them change the game. Starring Will Smith, who may have lost the Best Actor Award to Leonardo DiCaprio, but still takes an outstanding turn as the doctor who exposed the danger of concussions in the NFL. Currently in theaters.

A movie that stars Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling is reason enough for me to watch. Despite the eye candy, the story is compelling and true. Remember when the Real Estate bubble burst in 2008? This is the story. Currently in theaters.

Jennifer Lawrence took home another Golden Globe thanks to her turn in this film portraying Joy Mangano, the inventor of the Miracle Mop. Currently in theaters.

Also known as the biggest film of the year, until Star Wars re-awakened the Force... Matt Damon won a Golden Globe for his role, and Ridley Scott took home the prize for Best Director both in the Comedy film category. Available on DVD.

I love Melissa McCarthy. I've loved her since I first encountered her on Gilmore Girls. I missed this one in theaters, but it is currently in my Netflix DVD queue. I won't be bothered by the fact that Jason Statham is easy on the eyes. Available on DVD.

Michael B. Jordan is great, but you can't deny that Sylvester Stallone is Rocky Balboa. The story of the son of Apollo Creed, trained to fight by Rocky. Could it get much better? Currently in theaters.

Quentin Tarantino's eighth film stars Kurt Russell, Samuel Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and a whole film full of other amazing actors. This is Tarantino, we're talking about it. Yes, it will no doubt be bloody, but it will be worth seeing for the story. Currently in theaters.
