A BOIL WATER NOTICE is issued for Killeen residents and businesses in the following locations beginning September 10 at 7 a.m.:

1202 to 1317 Franz Drive

1008 to 1306 Culp Avenue

1301 to 1312 Carol Way

1206 Gray Drive

City crews will be replacing water valves and must turn off the water in order to complete the work.  Water service will not be available from approximately 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Once the valve installation is complete, lines will be flushed and water samples will be tested.

Residents in the affected locations are cautioned to BOIL ALL WATER BEFORE CONSUMING beginning at 7 a.m. September 10.  Residents will be notified when the boil water notice is lifted.

Residents may call the Water and Sewer Services help line at 501-6319 with questions or concerns.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption.  The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.  In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.  When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you.
