Cornudas is located about an hour from El Paso, directly between El Paso and Carlsbad, New Mexico. The area was a good location for travelers to rest and resupply while travelling. According to Texas Escapes, the town was first owned by the Tinnin Family until 1977, then the Derrick Family until 1982 and then "Mayor" May Carson until she passed away in 2018.

May's son Jeffrey Campbell, the "City Manager" most recently owned the area and closed Cornudas for renovations. Cornudas was reopened in 2020 and was put up for sale- but not before Campbell got mad at Buzz for calling Cornudas a "ghost town".

A ghost town no more because the brand new owner of Cornudas is named Jon Jasniak and he's sharing the entire ordeal on social media; after all, it's not every day that you can buy a whole town on Facebook!

Jasniak is an entrepreneur who actually buys and sells land, so it should have come as no surprise that he would eventually stumble across the town of Cornudas.

Speaking with Narcity, Jasniak said:

[Hudspeth County is] a unique area that holds a special place in my heart, so when I saw this for sale, I had to buy it.

Jasniak didn't specify what special connection he has to Hudspeth county, but I'm sure that getting Cornudas was definitely a passion project for him- and he's bringing you along for the journey, and even looking for suggestions!

One of my favorite suggestions says:

Theme park resort like an old west theme, venue for weddings or Hollywood could use.
