No Criminal Charges for Bartender Lindsey Glass Who Served Man Before Mass Shooting
Lindsey Glass, is a bartender who served alcohol to 32-year-old Spencer Hight before he left to kill his estranged wife and seven others who were at her home.
Reports state that Lindsey was arrested in May of 2018 for the September 2017 incident. Lindsey received a misdemeanor charge of Selling Alcohol to "Certain Persons." This law prohibits the sale of alcohol to a "habitual drunkard or an intoxicated or insane person."
Lindsey Glass served Spencer Hight 4 drinks before she realized that he was acting strangely and seemed to be intoxicated. Lindsey then alerted her manager and the two confronted Hight outside the bar. Lindsey followed Spencer Hight and was also the first person to alert authorities of Hight's presence at his estranged wife's home.
Neighbors called the police at approximately 8:30 PM after hearing shots being fired. When police arrived they found the bodies of multiple victims in the backyard. Spencer Hight was inside the home actively shooting until the police shot and killed him.
Attorneys for Lindsey Glass believe that the Plano police department arrested Lindsey because they were looking for someone to hold responsible for the horrible shooting.
Do you believe that the Grand Jury made the right decision to not indict Lindsey Glass? Was Lindsey ultimately responsible for Spencer Hight's actions? Do you believe that Spencer Hight was over-served?
