One Houston, Texas Young Man Is A Police Officer Throughout The State
We all love stories of individuals who even when they are facing something that seems daunting to take on, they show no fear and take the challenge head on. No matter the age of the person in question, there is greatness around us, and when we find it, it must be celebrated accordingly. One of the individuals? A young child named Devarjaye Daniel.
Devarjaye Daniel's Story
KCEN went into detail about young Devarjaye's life so far. The 10-year-old has both spinal and brain cancer, having been diagnosed in 2019. He's even underwent 11 brain surgeries in his young life.
But for the young Devarjaye, his dreams won't be stopped. He wants to be police officer when he grows up. This dream has lead to journey for the young man and his family all around the United States.
The Journey So Far
At the time of writing, Devarjaye has traveled to 676 different law enforcement agencies to be sworn in.
A stunning number for sure. Included in these agencies are of course, many in Central Texas. Recently, Devarjaye visited and was sworn into the Waco Police Department. However he was sworn into various other agencies in Central Texas on October 19th.
The reasoning for journey however, is more important for all of us to hear.
The Reason For The Swear-Ins
Devarjaye isn't just doing the journey for himself, it's to raise cancer awareness. He's also doing it in honor of Abigail Arias, who lost her battle with cancer in 2019.
There are many people in this world who we should celebrate. And young Devarjaye, excuse us, Officer Devarjaye, is one we should all support.
