At least one Tornado has been confirmed in the San Antonio area overnight as strong thunderstorms moved through south and central Texas late Sunday and early Monday.

KWTX reports that dozens of homes saw damage as a result of the storms but thankfully only minor injuries are being reported and no one was seriously hurt or killed in the storm.

San Antonio Fire Department Spokesperson Woody Woodward says 43 homes reported damage in the storms overnight, and 3 collapsed. About 10 miles northeast of the city in Baxter County another 30 to 40 homes sustained damage as well.

The National Weather Service will send survey teams to the area to further evaluate the storm and the damage to the area. In the video below Firefighter Joe Arrington describes the reports of damage coming in during the storms.
