Need Work? Fort Hood Area Veterans Job Fair Wednesday
Opportunity is knocking for veterans in need of employment in the Fort Hood, Texas area. RecruitMilitary is hosting a job fair Wednesday, December 1st, from 11am to 3pm at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center, 3601 South W.S. Young Drive, in Ballroom C.
What is a RecruitMilitary Job Fair? It's an event that gives job seekers with military experience the opportunity to meet with recruiters from local and national companies.
It's free for U.S veterans, military spouses, transitioning military, and members of the Guard and Reserve. With 66 registered exhibitors, there are a lot of employment choices. More businesses may be added the day of the event.
Samsung Electronics is one of many businesses looking for employees. Last week, KWTX reported that Samsung Electronics is building a new semiconductor manufacturing facility in Taylor. According to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, the facility will create over 2,000 tech jobs, thousands of indirect jobs, and a minimum of 6,500 construction jobs.
Other exhibitors include the City of Killeen, Central Intelligence Agency, Texas Department of Transportation, United States Secret Service, and Wells Fargo.
You can register for the job fair, upload your resume, and get information about available positions at RecruitMilitary.com.
Speaking of military, we've teamed up once again with Operation Phantom Support in Killeen and Central Texas sponsors to collect Toys for Troops this holiday season. Donations of new, unwrapped toys and gifts can be dropped off at the sponsor locations below, and will go directly to military and first responders families in need.
