Shooting At Virginia Mall Injures 2 – Suspect Is In Custody

Two women were shot Friday at a community college section of a Virginia mall. One was airlifted to a local hospital while the other was treated at the scene and is in stable condition.

Officials have the suspect in custody after he carried out the attack at New River Valley Mall in Christianburg. The mall contains a branch campus of New River Community College. Emergency services received a call about shots fired at the small college satellite around 2 p.m. Friday. The gunman’s motives are currently unknown.
