Did anyone else think we would have a second stimulus check by now or was that just me?

As the pandemic gets worse, people are still without jobs and now new shutdowns are taking place all across the country. What is our government doing to help the businesses and the people who need it? Still arguing about what a new stimulus package will look like.

The good news, according to a News Break report is that a bipartisan group of senators have proposed a $908 billion package aimed at helping everything from state and local funding to unemployment insurance to support for small businesses, transportation, housing assistance, vaccine development, distribution and testing, healthcare provider relief fund, nutrition/agriculture, U.S. Postal Service and more.

The bad news, there's no money for you and me, like what we saw in the first, and only, stimulus package that passed in March that gave each of us $1,200 plus $500 per child.

Now, this proposal still has to pass both the House and Senate in the next two weeks and if you've been paying attention to our government lately, they don't seem to be in a hurry to help to get anything done. Both sides seem far apart on what they want the next stimulus package to look like. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wants a much bigger package while Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wants a more targeted bill of $500 billion, according to a Forbes reports.

As we know, progress is always slow in when Congress is involved . As of now, it doesn't look like the $1,200 per person is happening. Things could change in the new year and as the pandemic worsens but for now, hold onto what you got.
