Texas Is Home to the Dirtiest City in America
Let's face it: keeping things clean is a tough task for anyone. When you get home after a long day of work, it's easy to just let the laundry and dishes pile up, or stack as much trash as you can on the bin before you have to take it out. For some of us, it keeps getting pushed back, and pushed back even further. Then it reaches a point where we just wonder, "how did this get so bad?"
Now, apply that mentality to entire sprawling metropolis.
With so many people living in cities, there's bound to be buildups of trash. As it turns out, data is indeed collected about the amount of trash that grows.
Unfortunately, two cities in Texas have definitely failed to take "Don't Mess With Texas" to heart, and we can smell 'em from miles away.
Two Texas Cities Need Some Help Picking Up
Lawnstarter's data across the nation for cleanliness in cities revealed that Texans have some work to do in certain areas. The data was comprised of 4 items:
- Living conditions
- Consumer satisfaction
- Pollution
- Infrastructure
So will all the factors in mind, everything was totaled. For the first time in a while, one Texas city took the top spot, which in this case, isn't where they want to be.
Houston landed at number one on the list, making it the dirtiest city in the nation. San Antonio also landed in top ten, taking seventh place. So...it looks like it's time to make sure everyone picks up after themselves!
