A verdict has been reached in the trial of former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin.

Texas Southern University announced Wednesday they'll fund a scholarship for Gianna Floyd, whose father will lie in rest beside her grandmother in Pearland.

George Floyd is set to be buried in Pearland next to his mother at Houston Memorial Gardens.
