He was born in Austin and graduated from Texas Tech before launching a very successful entertainment career.

I'm taking you on a fun reminder of some iconic Texas television offerings, "steering" clear of the usual clichés about BBQ, cowboys, and big hats.

Some of these definitely express a traditional Texas vibe. But some of these may surprise you as they did us.

Someone with way too much time on their hands looked for every reference to Arlen, Texas from King of the Hill. We now know where the town would sit.

This would be an amazing callback to one of our favorite 'King of the Hill' episodes.
