UPDATE, 8-22-16, 7:26 AM: Mr. Parrish was found safe in a Fort Hood housing area, according to a KPD news release issued Monday morning. Police did not say exactly when he was found, but said he was well and thanked everyone for their help locating him.

It's a tragic ending for a local family after Temple Police who responded to a report of a missing child, only to have the missing girl turn up inside a vehicle near the 1600 block of East Barton Ave.

Killeen police say a 16-year-old runaway girl may be in need of medical attention.
