Teacher or Predator? This Man Is Looking At Sexual Assault Charge

Preying on the young and meek is absolutely disgusting, and that's just what this trusted educator is accused of.

According to a report from our news partners at KWTX, Andrew White, 33, was arrested on Thursday, September 30 for sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child, and for initiating an improper relationship between educator and student.

Employment

White was recently employed as an art teacher at West Middle/High School. Prior to his time at West ISD, White's LinkedIn states that he was previously employed as an art teacher for Riesel ISD.

The Outcry

According to FOX 44, a female student is reported to have made an outcry to a West ISD police officer, who immediately spoke to the West High School Principal. From there it was reported to local law enforcement and Child Protective Services.

The student reported that White exposed himself to her, touched her, and also had her touch him.

An investigation was opened, which led to the discovery of multiple other serious allegations.

Grooming

It appears White may have been grooming his victim for a long time. "Grooming" is a technique used by predators to slowly and methodically break away boundaries to make the child feel safe.

White is reported to have sent the victim poems and letters for months that made her uncomfortable. White also is accused of attempting to communicate with the student over social media.

The Price to Pay

White was initially booked into the McLennan County Jail, but records no longer list him. West ISD has reported that White is no longer employed with the district.
