Reading to kids is one of the absolute best things you can do to spark their imagination and open entire worlds up to them, which is why it's my pleasure to announce that story time is returning to the Temple Public Library.

Story Time Returns to Downtown Temple

I think we can all appreciate the tradition that Temple, Texas is making sure continues. The preschool story time in Downtown Temple will be back on November 13 from 10:30 to 11 AM. Your babies will get to enjoy not only amazing stories, but also joyful songs and plenty of fun activities. It's just one of those things that’s so amazing because not only is your child enjoying themselves, but they're genuinely learning.

We hope to see you at 100 W. Adams Ave. on Saturday for this wonderful story time.

Memories of Childhood Stories Stay With Us

I remember growing up, and an option that we had when it came to activities with my siblings was going to the library and picking out our favorite book. Sometimes we'd even go to a bookstore and get to buy a copy just for ourselves.

My father instilled in our brains that reading is not only fundamental, but it can be fun.  I ended up growing up having a real passion for reading, but as a little girl, I can remember my favorite thing to do was to go to the library, sit Indian style, and allow the local librarian to perform story time.

Story time is just one of those things that allows a child's imagination to flourish and be filled with all sorts of dreams and aspirations. It's also just incredibly fun and magical. I absolutely loved going to the library and hearing about dragons,  princesses, or just good guys and bad guys.

If you can't make it out to the library's story time, consider setting up your own story time with your kids. It'll do so much for them and you.
