Get Ready For Free School Supplies In Temple This August
Preparing for a new school year is not always easy, especially if your finances are not equal to the task. This is why the Back-to-School Extravaganza is so important to families in Temple, Texas. On Saturday, August 2, 2025, the event is back for its eleventh year, and registration is now underway.
A Mission to Give Back
The event was founded by John Wayne Sutherland of nearby Buckholts, Texas. Realizing just how much school supplies had increased, particularly amid the inflation of the past few years, he decided that a huge giveaway of school supplies in Central Texas was his way to serve the community. The event, founded in 2014, has furnished thousands of kids across Central Texas with school supplies they need to be successful.
What Families Can Expect
For families that have pre-registered to the event, there will be a chance to shop for free. The event will take place at the Temple Walmart on West Adams. Students will receive a new backpack, school supplies, and clothing to help ensure every child starts school with confidence and a positive attitude.
Fundraiser Coming Up
In support of the event, there will be a fun fundraiser on Friday, July 26, at Wilson Valley Mercantile in Little River-Academy. Expect live music, food and drinks from local vendors, and all proceeds will go towards purchasing school supplies for the Extravaganza! It's a great time of fellowship toward a great cause!
If you're looking to register your family for the event, donate or volunteer, everything you need is located at b2sganza.com. Community support plays a vital role in continuing the success of the event!
