Recently, Texas Businesses Are Turning Down Their Lights At Night, Why?
Sometimes, the night life is the best in Texas.
There's always a business in the Lone Star State that people frequent when the sun goes down isn't there? It could be an eatery, a bar, or perhaps a nightclub. Whatever it is, that business requires one main thing to run: power.
Yes, how else will one see the business they want to visit without a light of some sort? Not only does it help a person know where they are going, but the place of business does need it to do various things. Specifically, lighting the area is a good idea.
But as of recent, businesses in Texas have lowering the lights. What could be the cause of this movement. All one has to do is look to the skies.
Texas Business Lights Dim At Night, But Why?
So why would a business dim their lights you ask? Well, according to KCEN, it's prime time for birds to migrate. Those lights that brighten up the state however, could cause a bird to get harmed.
Per the news organization, the season of peak migration for birds is ongoing, as it began on April 22nd, 2024. It will last until May 12th, 2024.
To help the birds flying across Texas out, places of business in the state have been requested to shut off lights that can be considered non-essential from 11 PM to 6 AM.
