Dollar Tree Closing 1000 Stores In Nation, Will It Affect Texas?
Businesses closing in Texas is never a good thing.
People possibly lose their favorite place to shop, and individuals who work in the place of business no longer have a job. It's simply a sad situation all around. So we always frequent those places to keep them open, and make sure it keeps providing for many.
Sometimes though, a business will close even if we visit it all the time. Which in some ways hurts even more. But the closing could come at any time, without warning.
Recently, one retailer known as The Body Shop closed all its locations in the Lone Star State due to bankruptcy. But another major organization is set to close many across the nation, but there's a caveat.
Dollar Tree Closing 1000 Stores Across The Nation, Will Some Be In Texas?
According to FOX 7 Austin, the announcement came on March 13th, 2024. Due to a reported $1.71 billion loss in revenue, the company made the decision to shutter 600 Family Dollar Stores in the first quarter of the year. These are not the only closings however.
Further details reveal that 370 Family Dollar stores will no longer be open, and will discontinue their business after their leases conclude. The final addition to the closings will be 30 Dollar Trees, with the previous reason of leases concluding being as to why.
How Will This Affect The State Of Texas?
At the time of writing, it is unknown if any stores will be affected by the closings. As the company hasn't announced which places will no longer be in business.
