This is the New Favorite Rapper of Texas Country Music
BigXthaPlug did not think that he would be in music topping the in any genre let alone becoming a favorite of country fans and artists alike. BigX looks more like an offensive lineman than a musician, and even he dreamed of being in the NFL long before his success as rapper.
BigX likes to compare himself to Cam Newton by referencing the NFL MVP’s unconventional path to success. He didn't take the traditional industry path to success similar to how Cam Newton's rise from junior college to the big leagues wasn't the standard route either. BigX skipped traditional industry steps, leaping from Dallas dreams to rap stardom.
He didn't plan on having a career in music, but perhaps his family had some sort of inclination. BigX had his first experience on a microphone in his dad's trap house. His father, "Pops", would challenge the local rappers by taunting them saying, "Y'all can't rap. My son's better." This would be when a young BigX would eventually step up and find his calling.
BigX has a style that blends Southern charm and raw storytelling. He has a booming voice and soulful beats that have given him a unique place in hip-hop. His 2023 hit "Mmhmm" made it to No. 63 on the Hot 100, and his song Drink Don't Need No Mix with Shaboozey has over 9 million views on YouTube.
BigX is reconnecting with his Texas roots. A 2025 country mixtape featuring Jelly Roll, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and Post Malone will blend genres like never before. "They claim I’m their favorite rapper," BigX says proudly.
