The first day of summer is right around the corner! Arriving ahead of schedule will be the Texas heat in the form of heat index values over 100 degrees.

KVUE.com is getting the word out early in the video above. Central Texas will see heat index values over 100 by Wednesday afternoon, and it is expected to last into the weekend. Remember to stay hydrated if you plan on being outdoors, and don't forget the sunscreen.

June has featured a little bit of everything in terms of weather. We've seen strong storms, a tornado, and then this past Sunday, we saw a pretty amazing light show over Bell County. Many of us at the radio station couldn't help but capture some of the lightning on our phones. Look at how during some of the lightning strikes in the video below the sky lights up so much it almost seems like its day time.
