An easy way to help prevent the spread of Zika virus is to put up a Bat House. No, not the Bat Signal... a bat house.

According to KXAN, there seems to be more Bat houses going up in Texas. It's because bats love to eat mosquitos, which, of course, now have potential to carry the Zika virus in Texas.

It's true. Bats creep a lot of people out. But don't judge a book by it's cover. It's a fact that 70% of the bats out there eat insects. Some estimate that they can eat up to a thousand of the suckers (pun intended) in an hour. That includes the Mexican Free Tailed bat found here in Central Texas.

So, to help protect your loved ones from a deadly virus, why not put up a Bat House out back. Especially if you're trying to have a baby. They even sell them on Amazon. Or, maybe you want to build your own.
