What would he do if someone ate his food in the fridge?

A Texas man killed his roommate after a dinnertime argument over some fried chicken. West Houston resident Reinaldo Rivera is now charged with the murder.

According to KPRC, the 38 year-old was having dinner and drinking with four other men in their apartment last Friday. Rivera became upset when Darwin Gonzalez took the last piece of fried chicken and ate it. Rivera and Gonzalez began arguing and the arguing spilled out into the parking lot. Around 11:30 p.m., a fight started and during the confrontation Rivera stabbed Gonzalez with a knife.

Reinaldo Rivera was also injured in the fight and fled the scene. He returned later to the scene and admitted to police that he stabbed Darwin Gonzalez. The 34 year-old died at the scene from his injuries.

According to Houston Police Department Homicide Detective Fil Waters it was all because of the drumstick.

“There was a single drumstick in the pan. You can’t script this stuff. It’s someone getting killed over a piece of chicken. Pretty tragic.”
