That amount doesn't even factor into what kind of food you're serving, or how you get the word out that your eatery is opening. So planning is a major part of the situation. Even then, one will have to work hard to keep the business afloat too.

Texas restaurants are currently feeling the hurt from multiple factors, including government shutdown.
What Issues Are Texas Restaurants Currently Dealing With?
As reported by the Texas Restaurant Association and revealed by WFAA, Texas eateries are seeing a dramatic rise in costs of certain things. The data was shown in an economic report from the association.
In total, 40% of restaurant owners stated the cost of food had gone up a large amount, with 48% also saying prices got a little bit higher. Worker cost also saw a growth in money needs, with 56% of owners revealing a slight increase, and 10% saying there was a big increase.
But revenue for eateries also went down too, with 38% of restaurants stating profits went down a little bit. So, this caused some concern from Emily Knight, the Texas Restaurant Association CEO:
"We’ve got a new Texas Restaurant Economics report for you today. Unfortunately, I have to sound the alarm a bit. Our data, combined with reports we’re reading from Black Box Intelligence and others, suggests that the slowdown we’ve all feared has materialized. I say this not to create panic but to prepare you."
Time will tell if things will get better.
